What delights me most is....

But I can still smell the fragrance of a rose....

But a child's mischief makes me smile is beautiful.....

HAPPINESS IN 10 STEPS.




Today,its 27th of January and of course If I am mentioning this date implies its got to be special. Yes, fellas its my birthday.
I thought of writing something cool, but at the same time I felt writing something significant would be apt. As, we all know happiness, like Einstein's theory of relativity is a concept which has suffered from the mixed blessing of being too well known and too little understood.

Scientifically, happiness is a mental or emotional state of well being characterized by positive or pleasant emotions. However,philosophers and religious thinkers often define happiness in terms of living a good life or flourishing.

What ever it is, despite these sophisticated concepts we all want to be happy forever!!
But is that possible only by a mere thought?

Well let us focus more on how to be happy.

Here are a few tips or "mantras" you can say to be happy constantly.


THE HAPPY MANTRA.

1.POSITIVE THINKING.

We often have this confusion. Does positive thinking help to overcome setbacks and disappointment in life?. When we stop negative thinking we actually invite positive thoughts to catch us.This is called the "intellect".
I can say negetive thoughts cannot be curbed because thoughts to some extent are involuntary but if we can substitute each negetive thought with a positive one we ca help ourselves to a certain extent.

2.TREAT YOURSELF LIKE YOU WANT OTHERS TO TREAT YOU
This may sound a bit weird but once you start thinking that "if everyone in this world is special, then even i belong to this world.So, i am also special. The problem is we are so busy in loving others that we have forgotten ourselves. We are special too.
So, give yourself some time and take care of yourself.

3.LET GO OF THE PAST
Our bright future is dependent on forgotten past, setbacks and heartaches. We cannot start a new chapter until we keep on pondering over the previous one. Just say to yourself," Everything will be alright dear what you got to do at this point is keep on moving."

4.EXPECTATION KILLS ACCEPTANCE.
We all live in a misconception. We feel expectation is a good thing. But in actual it depletes our energy. By expecting something of a person, we are actually predicting their future behavior towards us. Is future in our hands? How can I impose my capabilities on the other person? This perception makes us realize how demanding we are and how futile is this, to expect.
Instead we should be genuine. Yes, we can suggest the other person about how we feel but expecting the same to be done by that person is unjustified. Rather, accept them as they are and for what they are. Life will seem more beautiful than ever.

5.FORGET AND FORGIVE.
By forgiving a person we are doing justice to ourselves. This belief system acts as an antidote for all those hurts, suffering and disappointments. Forgiving a person we open our minds and accept the reality and are indeed a step ahead of the other person. This feeling creates a kind of self confidence and helps us to be more genuine.

6.FACE THE REALITY

One thing we all know but fail to apply on practical grounds that we cannot change the fact just by refusing it. The more we run away from the fact the more it haunts us.
So,be brave enough to face the truth. Nothing will seem more better than facing the truth.It eases us from inside and lets our mind to think beyond it.

7. HELP OTHERS.
Be ready to help in which ever possible way you can. This brings in a new joy to live. To be happy is not a home assignment. Remember, its a choice.

8.PRACTICALITY.

We all have different fantasies. But, one has to have that capability of distinguishing reality from fantasy. Some people create their own world and start living in it. This can be very dangerous. When the person faces the reality , he is not able to cope. Thus, gets in to depression. So, stop torturing yourself mentally. Be happy genuinely.

9.DO NOT FIX HAPPINESS
Happiness cannot have a fixed time or tenure. It is not a graduation certificate to be achieved within a prescribed period of time. Happiness is being healthy mentally. so, without proper inner health all other achievements are waste.
Do not try to buy happiness. Be happy for yourself.

10. HAPPINESS IS A JOURNEY, NOT DESTINY.
Happiness cannot be scheduled. A journey without enthusiasm may seem as a burden at some point in life. While in journey, if we are sad may be after reaching the destiny our mind and heart will become so accustomed to pain that we can hardly feel happiness.
So,as we say life is a journey, make sure you travel in this journey with happiness.
